Born in London in 1965, Gustav Temple is the founder of The Chap Magazine, the satirical gentlemen's journal first published in 1999. Today he is the full-time editor and publisher of that journal, as well as penning freelance journalism for other publications. Mr. Temple is the co-author of four Chap-related books: The Chap Manifesto, The Chap Almanac, Around the World in 80 Martinis, and The Best of The Chap. Mr. Temple's other activities include organising The Chap Olympics, an annual Olympiad for the over-dressed, in which sportsmanship, athleticism and physical strength are not rewarded as highly as panache, guile and sporting a well-pressed trouser.
