Februar 1881 in St. Petersburg. 1849 wurde er wegen angeblich staatsfeindlicher Aktivität im Petraschewski-Kreis zum Tode verurteilt, dann zu vier Jahren Zwangsarbeit in Sibirien begnadigt. 1859 kehrte er nach St. Petersburg zurück.
