VANESSA KING is a Board Member and the lead positive psychology expert for Action for Happiness. She led the development of the 10 Keys and speaks for Action for Happiness around the world. Vanessa´s first degree was in psychology and later she completed a Master´s degree under Martin Seligman at the University of Pennsylvania.

Vanessa King led the development of the 10 Keys for Action for Happiness. She translates the latest psychological research into practical action to help individuals, organisations and communities enhance their wellbeing and resilience, speaking nationally and internationally for the charity.After taking a degree in psychology, Vanessa completed her Master's degree in Applied Positive Psychology under Martin Seligman at the University of Pennsylvania. She has written articles for the Guardian online, has been featured in the Sunday Telegraph magazine (as one of 5 experts including Ruby Wax and Mathieu Ricard), and supports Psychologies magazine as the expert for their happiness clubs. Her key public speaking engagements include keynote speaker at the first conferences on happiness in Chile, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Positive Psychology conferences in China, Amsterdam and USA as well as in Sydney, and festivals in the UK including the South Bank Summer of Love, Innocent Unplugged as well as Wilderness Festival.
