Ich weiß nicht, wo ich anfangen soll.
1) Das Cover ist mega schön. Ich finde toll, dass Kiya, die Protagonistin abgebildet ist, sodass man eine Vorstellung hat, wie sie aussieht
2) Nun zum Buch: Die Geschichte basiert auf Exodus, jedoch aus der Sicht von Kiya, einer ägyptischen Sklavin, die mit den Hebräern Ägypten verlässt. Ich fand super, dass das Buch damit anfängt, dass Kiya verkauft wird und dann als Sklavin dient und mit Shira Freundschaft schließt. Ihre Gefühle und Gedanken wurden hier geschildert und wir können dadurch einen sehr guten Einblick bekommen. Danach fangen die Plagen an und schließlich verlässt sie, mit ihrem Bruder und ihrer Mutter, Ägypten. Doch auch in der Wüste erwarten sie Schwierigkeiten und sie zweifelt viel an Jahweh, dem unbekannten Gott der Hebräer.
3) Die Romanze: Anfangs mochte ich Eben zwar nicht so, weil er sich Kiya gegenüber nicht nett verhalten hat, aber je mehr man gelesen hat, desto cuter wurde es zwischen den beiden
Auf jeden Fall ein sehr empfehlenswertes Buch und ich bin gespannt auf die Fortsetzung. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass die Trilogie auf Deutsch auch super ankommen würde, weil es in der deutschen Community, glaub ich, nicht so bekannt ist, aber auf jeden Fall eines meiner Lieblings- Biblical Fictions
