Peruvian Law Expert Reports and Testimony
When a foreign court, arbitral tribunal, or instructing counsel encounters a legal question governed by Peruvian law, the answer rarely comes from translation alone. A document translated into English may explain its words but not its legal consequences under Peruvian civil law, registry practice, succession rules, notarial requirements, or recognition procedures.
This practical guide explains when expert evidence on Peruvian law may be necessary, what a reliable Peruvian law expert report should contain, and what foreign lawyers and courts should verify before relying on assumptions about Peruvian law in cross-border matters.
Who this book is for
This guide is written for foreign lawyers, instructing counsel, international law firms, courts, arbitrators, and cross-border practitioners who handle matters where Peruvian law may be relevant whether through foreign judgments, civil status records, succession rights, forced heirship, powers of attorney, family law issues, notarial acts, registry entries, real estate, or legal documents intended to produce consequences in Peru.
