All Magic is bad...

Franziska Goseberg, Thalia-Buchhandlung Paderborn

... but as we all expect (and love!), things in a Cressida Cowell novel are never quite as easy as that. As an obsessive reader of the "How to train your Dragon"-series, I was worried Cowell would just copy and paste the characters, somewhat change the setting and start on a very similar series. But while the overall style and feel remains the same, the characters are unique and the story so full of twists I could not foresee a thing, which I absolutely adore. And while I miss Toothless's stammer and Fishleg's allergy to Dragons, a bodyguard who faints when things get hairy and a bowing magic spoon aren't so bad. I can't wait to start on the second volume "Twice Magic"!
