Someone remind me why I waited so long to read this?!

Salema Arefayne, Thalia-Buchhandlung Karlsruhe

Ever read a book because of all the hype that was created around it and then you were totally disappointed? Well.... fortunately this was NOT the case here. I fully enjoyed every minute of reading this book and the time spent in the "Grishaverse". We get to follow the story of Alina Starkov, a young woman who is another casualty of the ongoing war in Ravka, another orphan and another nobody in the Second Army. So it seems until the day Alina discovers powers within her that are much greater than anything that the people of Ravka have ever seen. With the discovery of her powers Alina is introduced to the royal court and the mysterious world of the powerful Ghrisha. Now she might be the key to change the fate of a nation.

Was soll die Scheiße?! -_-

Incredible

One of the best books I have read in a while. It’s written in a very sophisticated way and always keeps you guessing on what’s about to happen next. Definitely a 10/10 and would recommend it to all book readers.

This serie is worth every single minute you spend on reading

I wanted to put this book aside many times. When I felt, how much it hurt the girl to be of no importance. When the boy and the girl entered the Unsea for the first time. When everything got worse and they were parted. But I couldn't. And when I finished it I feared to start the next volume. Because I knew the peace they fled in... I wanted to put this book aside many times. When I felt, how much it hurt the girl to be of no importance. When the boy and the girl entered the Unsea for the first time. When everything got worse and they were parted. But I couldn't. And when I finished it I feared to start the next volume. Because I knew the peace they fled into would not be allowed to last. I was right. It took me two days to get back to reading and when I started the second volume I would only pause to buy the third. One could argue the characters are well known. The plain and unknown girl to be a mighty magician. The oh so common handsome boy trying to keep her as friend and the ancient and mighty villain. Dark und cruel. But the characters reveal themselves slowly. They grow und as the story unfolds so do they. Eventually the ensemble grows and magic is flanked by science and enthusiasm leaving me breathless. I will not retell the story. Leigh Bardugo is so much more talented in doing it than me. But I recommend this piece of writing to everyone as deeply in love with fantastic stories as I am. Its worth every minute you spend on it. It made me laugh. It made me cry. It suprised and shocked me. There are so many ideas worth thinking about in this three books that I really look forward to the Leigh Bardugos other books. I hope you'll enjoy this triology as much as I did.
