„Intense suspense in a roman empire setting“

Cassandra Trillhose, Thalia-Buchhandlung Berlin

It was so worth it to get the hardcover of this book. The Cover art is way nicer than on the paperback or ebook and the pages are done in the rough paper method, which makes them stick out at the side in different lengths, giving the book an undone look.
The story is very fast paced and I devoured this in just one sitting. The main character is luckily not affected by the Mary-Sue Syndrom many Young Adult books seem to praise.
Kestrel is witty and one of the best written female heroines ever in my opinion.
This book was shortlisted for a Goodreads award and it's an unjust shame it didn't win.
