I was expecting so much more. I still love the characters and they really saved this book for me. Because the plot kind of just went up in flames. Three books working towards something and Stiefvater ended it like this? Consider me unimpressed. It was overdramatic, overwritten, overkilled (and I mean... I was expecting so much more. Consider me unimpressed. It was overdramatic, overwritten, overkilled (and I mean that literally). The romances are still nice and I'm happy that almost everyone got something that at least resembled a happy ending (and yes, I'll obviously pick up every damn book Stiefvater writes about Ronan because it's Ronan), but aside from that the book was all over the place and it really did not live up to my expectations.
