„Genius“

Liesa König, Thalia-Buchhandlung Dresden

This hilarious adventure is for every geek out there, to tell you: Follow your dreams, support your OTP & always be yourself!
And now stop reading my recommendation, start reading the book and make sure to add "Struck by Lightning" by Chris Colfer to your order:)

„So worth it!“

Katharina Teister, Thalia-Buchhandlung Iserlohn

This story sets itself up to be a light-hearted road trip with a group of friends before college - and I guess it is, but there is a much deeper undertone to this book.

Stranger than FanFiction was beautifully written.I absolutely loved the way this book turned out, despite all the tears, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a little bit of everything.

After "Struck by Lightning" the actor-turned-writer Chris Colfer has finally published his second YA novel. The four loveable misfits Mo, Sam, Topher and Joey are about to go on a roadtrip before they part ways to leave for college. Being huge fans of the "Wiz Kids" franchise they grew up with, they can't believe their eyes when lead actor Cash Carter shows up in their small hometown, ready to join them. A roadtrip that definitely has its ups and downs, uncovers some secrets and includes a lot of firsts follows... "Stranger than Fanfiction" is a fast-paced novel that really keeps you hooked. Some might say that Colfer crams too many issues into a novel with barely 300 pages, but in my opinion, he brings them toghether quite nicely, considering. The topics being coming to terms with your sexuality, gener identification, self-fulfillment and sickness (to name a few), I think "Stranger than Fanfiction" might be a pretty helpful and important read to some people whilst also being an etertaining and fun read. This novel totally lives up to its title and I recommend it to teenagers aged 13 and up.
