This story is conceived as a warning for scientists, as call for responsibility for their inventions and discoveries, no matter in what country or under what social regime they live and work. Soviet scientist Karagezy, using clay as a protomatter, creates artificial human being – girl Lilit – named so after first Bible woman. She is a charming, graceful, strong and dexterous creature with perfect human appearance and habits of a panther. In fact she is an animal with no intellect at all. Karagezy is depressed; he thinks the experiment to be half done, but he hopes, he can make his creation human. And he made a mistake.
