Funny, smart, realistic, entertaining and with feelings; all that is Aussie YA and I LOVE IT! Aussie YA has the kind of authenticity that I really dig. I loved the protagonists Amelia and Chris. They were both flawed - Amelia's naive, Chris is a bit whiny, both are egoistical at times - but still, they were so cute and warmed my heart. Because Amelia's also funny and smart and Chris is like a young, lost puppy and afraid of the future (so relatable, btw). Their conversations were probabaly my favourite scenes, along with Amelia's rants; they were hilarious! The double POVs were written with clearly distinguishable voices (thank God for that!) which I both liked, Amelia's a bit more so than Chris's. I had absolutely no idea where this book would be going but I must say that the author handled that ending really well.
