H.G. Wells

Herbert George Wells, often referred to as the "Father of Science Fiction," was a visionary whose imagination reshaped the literary landscape of the 20th century. Born into a working-class family in Kent, England, Wells rose through sheer intellectual brilliance and a scholarship to the Royal College of Science, where his studies in biology under T.H. Huxley profoundly influenced his writing.

While his contemporaries focused on the realism of the Victorian era, Wells looked toward the stars and the hidden dimensions of time. With the publication of The Time Machine in 1895, he achieved instant fame, followed by a string of "scientific romances" including The Island of Doctor Moreau, The Invisible Man, and The War of the Worlds.
