I absolutely loved this and couldn't wait to get started on the second one. The worldbuilding really fascinated me here, especially the way gender works, where the default is always they/them. I very much enjoyed Arcady being non-binary, as I have been looking for a good fantasy series with queer protagonists. I also loved the way the magic system works and especially the repercussions to using magic. If you’re looking for a well written queer fantasy where one of the protagonists is a dragon, I can very much recommend this one!
