Meine letzte Rezension Kodi: A Place to Call Home von Jared Cullum
The Kodiak bear ‘Kodi’ and Katya have a beautiful friendship, but the problem is they are living in a city and all of that has cost a lot of problems. Now is the question: is Kodi going to the zoo or to a sanctuary. I loved the character dynamic and the main point of trust and honesty between the characters. It also covers a main issue point which is the zoo, which i really like. The artwork of this graphic novel is so wonderful and the colours are amazing. The watercolour illustration is so beautiful and also a part of the storyline.

The Kodiak bear ‘Kodi’ and Katya have a beautiful friendship, but the problem is they are living in a city and all of that has cost a lot of problems.     Yesteryear

    We follow Natalie, a tradwife influencer who suddenly wakes up in 1855. I had so many theories, but none of them were right. This was an easy 5-star book for me! I really liked how the story was told. I am really excited for the movie adaptation.

    Fragile Hopes

    This was a six-star read for me! Ivy is her brother's guardian and tries to fulfil Joe's dreams. In the meantime, Joe and Ivy build a strong friendship with their neighbour Ford. I love this slow-burn romance, especially because you get to know the characters so well. As well as the characters' dynamic.

    One Dark Window - Die Schatten zwischen uns

    Ich habe etwas länger gebraucht, um in dieses Buch einzutauchen, bis es Klick gemacht hat. Dann habe ich mich total in den Schreibstil und die Welt verloren. Das Magiesystem ist total interessant und einzigartig, ebenso wie die Natur, die ein so wichtiger Aspekt der Geschichte ist.

    "Hofsommer" ist nicht nur ein Roman der von Abschied und Heimat erzählt – sondern auch von Selbstbestimmung. Schließlich erfährt die Protagonistin Doreen, die Enkeltochter, von ihrer Mutter Sandra, dass ihre Großeltern freiwillig gemeinsam sterben möchten. Die Autorin Hanna Heim verarbeitet in diesen Roman, ihre persönliche Familiengeschichte. Für mich, war dieser Roman emotional aber gleichzeitig auch still, da ich mich sehr in die Position von Doreen hineinversetzten konnte und meine eigenen Erfahrungen auf der Seite wiedererkennen konnte. Ich kann dieses Buch jedem empfehlen, gerade um die verschiedenen Thematiken aus einer anderen Perspektive zu sehen.

    The Crane and the Nightjar

    Mich hat das Cover total gecatcht und dazu noch der Inhalt – einfach Bombe! Die Charaktere sind so individuell und die Dynamik zwischen allen ist einfach so toll und passend. Die düstere Atmosphäre, die gelegentlich grotesk werden kann, macht die Geschichte so lebendig. Ich kann den zweiten Band der Dilogie gar nicht abwarten, ich freu mich schon so drauf!
