As an out of luck actor Will is struggling to survive on the brutal streets of london. But in a crueling city like this, who can one really trust? His roommates? His mentor? Can he even trust himself? Only a select few know who he truly is, know the person that is behind the mask of Will Hughes since all he wants is to earn enough coin to return to his family. But luck strikes again when his mentor is found dead. Murdered by mysterious circumstances! Now Will must work together with the person who he had hoped to be his escape, Lord James Bloomsbury, to solve this mysterious murder and even work as assasins to the queen, all while keeping their slowly blossoming feelings for each other a secret! Honestly I really enjoyed this. While Will can sometimes be a bit annoying the plot was generally filled with suspense and kept me captivated! The character of James is more than he first reveals to be and even the side characters had their charm! Some cunning and some just utterly loveable. Definitely give this one a read if you're looking for an interesting and suspense filled historical queer romance!
