Meine letzte Rezension The Art of Language Invention von David J. Peterson
If you were ever interested in how languages are built and want a fun way to learn more about linguistics this is the perfect book for you. David J. Peterson has invented multiple languages for different types of media including Dothraki and Valyrian for Game of Thrones and Ravkan for Shadow and Bone. This book gives a really great overview of linguistic processes in general ranging from phonetics to language evolution. The use of different constructed languages as examples makes the content easy to understand, even if you have no prior knowledge of linguistics. I had a lot of fun reading this book and loved all of the references and examples used throughout. Definitely worth a read!

    The raven cycle is a series that was recommended to me by a friend and now I get to recommend it to all of you. Maggie captures growing up, friendships and falling in love in an enchanting way, making you long for your own magical adventure. The multiple POVs let you really connect with all of the characters and gain a deeper understanding for their individual motives and feelings, allowing for a complete immersion into the story. I re-read this series once a year and every time I read it, I notice things I had not before and fall in love with the books all over again. If you are looking for comfort, adventure and all types of love, this is the book series for you! And if after you are finished you are craving more, you can follow up with the dreamer trillogy or experience the magic of the books in the form of graphic novels.
