Murriell McCulley with her husband Bob, have served
as missionaries in Africa since 1976. She began her
career as a registered nurse and worked for ten years
in coronary care nursing. She gravitated to
education after becoming involved with a Bible school
in Tanzania and has developed a passion for
theological training. Her desire has been to move
beyond academic knowledge to fully equipping men and
women for works of ministry. Murriell's journey has
had many interesting stops along the way as she has
been involved in most of the different aspects of
theological education in Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, and
Sudan. She has been academic dean, director of
textbook production and distribution, author of
textbooks, and principal. Currently she serves as
the Academic Dean for Sudan Theological College as
well as being on the faculty of Pan Africa
Theological Seminary helping to develop their
educational core on the Ph.D. level. She is also
involved as a curriculum development consultant for a
number of different schools across Africa and
conducts teachers' training workshops.
