Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Geowissenschaften / Geographie - Geologie, Mineralogie, Bodenkunde, Note: 1, Universität für Bodenkultur Wien (Institut für Waldökologie / Institut für Geologie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Arboretum "Putevima mira" wurde 1987 auf der Insel Veliki Brijuni mit dem Ziel errichtet, einen floristischen Überblick nicht nur über die mediterrane Flora, sondern auch über Bäume und Sträucher aus völlig anderen Klimazonen zu geben. Da sich das Konzept nicht bewährt hatte, wurden im Rahmen dieser Diplomarbeit umfangreiche Untersuchungen an den Böden im Arboretum und an einigen Küstenabschnitten durchgeführt, deren Ergebnisse eine wesentliche Grundlage für die Ausarbeitung möglicher Konzepte für die Weiterführung des Arboretums sind. Die Untersuchungen umfassten neben chemisch relevanten Parametern wie C, N, S, P, C/N-Verhältnis, pH-Werte, usw. auch gesamtmineralogische, tonmineralogische Parameter und die Korngrößenverteilung der Bodenprofile. Des weiteren wurde im Zuge dieser Diplomarbeit ein Kartenwerk für das Arboretums angelegt, das 8 verschiedene Pläne umfasst, unter anderem einen Übersichtplan, 2 Längenschnitte, eine Gründigkeitskarte sowie einen Plan der die Lage der "dichten Tonschicht" dokumentiert.
The arboretum "Putevima mira" was set up in 1987 on the island "Veliki Brijuni" with the ambition to give a floristic overview not only of the mediterranean flora, but also of trees and bushes from totally different climate zones. Within the scope of this degree dissertation extensive investigations of the soils of the arboretum and of some coast sections have been made. The results of those investigations are an essential foundation for the elaboration of potential concepts for the continuation of the arboretum. The investigations comprehended beside relevant parameters like C, N, S, P, C/N-rate, pH-value, also total mineral and clay mineral analysis and grain size analyses of the soil-profiles. In the course of this degree dissertation furthermore we mapped a cartography of the arboretum, which contains 7 different plans. Among others there is an overviewplan, 2 longitudinal sections, a plan who shows the depth of the arboretum-soils and a plan which documents the position of the "dense clay-layer".
