International migration and the increasing diversity of the population are highly topical social-political issues in Germany. This edited volume comprehensively addresses the themes migration and migration policy, segregation and integration, and considers concepts such as hybridity, diversity and transculturality in integration theory discourse. The authors critically review current research practice and integration policy. They provide examples of improved integration in municipalities, residential areas, the education system, the housing market and the economy. Theoretical analyses are linked to planning and policy recommendations.
