Vaginal bleeding is common problem during the first trimester, and occurs in 15% to 25% of early pregnancies. Is the ending of pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo from the womb before it can survive on its own. An abortion can also occur spontaneously and is then known as a miscarriage. An abortion may also be caused purposely and is then called an induced abortion.
