Wendy Laura Belcher is associate professor of African literature at Princeton University with a joint appointment in the Department of Comparative Literature and the Center for African American Studies. Charlene Villaseñor Black is professor of art history and Chicanx studies at UCLA and associate director of the Chicano Studies Research Center. She is author of Creating the Cult of St. Joseph.
