Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2019 im Fachbereich Kulturwissenschaften - Empirische Kulturwissenschaften, Note: 1,3, Leuphana Universität Lüneburg (Kulturwissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Bachelor Arbeit, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die heutige Hinwendung und neue Bedeutungszuschreibung der Kategorie Raum im sozialwissenschaftlichen Diskurs fordert eine tiefergehende Beschäftigung und Verknüpfung der Kategorien Raum und Identität. Das Ziel dieser Forschungsarbeit ist es zu bestimmen, inwieweit die Kategorien Raum und Identität verknüpft sind und welche Rolle in diesem Zusammenhang Musikclubs als außeralltägliche Räume einnehmen. Um eine Antwort auf diese Hypothese zu erhalten, wurden neben der theoretischen Vorarbeit sowohl die Methodik der teilnehmenden Beobachtung angewendet als auch drei Interviews mit Clubbesuchern geführt. Die Analyse der Forschungsergebnisse zeigt, dass Musikclubs eine bedeutende Rolle im Prozess der Identitätsbildung spielen. Allerdings nicht lediglich aufgrund ihrer materiellen Beschaffenheit, sondern vielmehr aufgrund ihrer Funktion als Freiraum und Nährboden kollektiver Identität.
Today's turning and new attribution of meaning to the category of space in social science discourse calls for a deeper engagement with and linking of the categories of space and identity. The aim of this research work is to determine to what extent the categories of space and identity are linked and what role music clubs play in this context as extra-ordinary spaces. In order to obtain an answer to this hypothesis, in addition to the theoretical preparatory work, the methodology of the participating observation was applied, and three interviews were conducted with club visitors. The analysis of the research results shows that music clubs play an important role in the process of identity formation. However, not only because of their material nature, but rather because of their function as free space and breeding ground for collective identity.
