This study has been undertaken with the purpose of enumerating and illustrating the various categories and classes of Defences and Exceptions in a suit for infringement against the rights of a patentee and shall further discuss and debate upon the reliability and plausibility of some of the most important defences and exceptions to infringement of patents.
