If you want a smart book about the complicated subject of identity, you´re right here. Student Nivedita and the rest of the world find out that Prof. Dr. Saraswati, teacher for postcolonial studies in Düsseldorf, Germany, betrayed everyone and is, contrary to her presentation to the outside, white. The novel is smart whilst also being funny. The title is a wordplay in germany. "Titti" is another word for breasts. The author, Mithu Sanyal, has written a couple of non-ficiton books like "Vulva", just so you know what you´re getting into. "Identitti" was also nominated for the German bookprice 2021 and won the "Literaturpreis Ruhr" and the Ernst-Bloch-Preis of the same year.
