In the context of academically reflected theology, migration and the related topics of fleeing and displacement have become a widely discussed and highly topical subject across the entire spectrum of academic sub-disciplines. A desideratum, however, is a consistent reflection of the topic in the theologies of the Old and New Testaments. The various books and collections of the Bible, each with their own central emphasis, allow the topic of migration to emerge in a differentiated manner. This innovative volume closes this gap, via a thematically diverse collection of individual contributions, by considering and hermeneutically reflecting upon the validity claims of the theme of migration in the Old and New Testaments through the lens of their complex relationship to history, theology and literary genesis.
