The Lady and the Orc A Monster Fantasy Romance

In my opinion this is not a romance but a classic case of big manipulator energy. No and I mean NO male character looks like a good guy or overcomes his prejudices. Listen, I wasn't expecting a cozy romantasy and I was prepared to find some toxic traits in it regarding its orc characters but this book gave me whiplash. The "relationship" is build upon lies, abuse and an ultimatum that is ignored after two days. And no amount of pheromones can explain how fast some things were forgiven. And after the stunt near the end Jule should have left society as a whole to live her life alone. My buddy reading partner can attest to me being very open to the story at the beginning regardless of the toxic content. But this book does a horrible job at working with these harder subjects. The relationship and its progress felt unpolished and just not believable. And as stated before the male characters all around felt like the winners of a Mr. Toxic worldwide competition. That is to say they are trash. There are also a lot of words that appear way too often in this book. If I never have to read "bodily" and "hale" it will be too soon. The book will definitely leave my home library and I will keep myself sane and not touch the series again.
