**** What is it about? **** Pay a visit to the creatures of darkness. Look around in the shadows and still can't believe your eyes. Nothing is as it seems and evil always wins in the end, never forget that. **** My impression **** The book contains a variety of short stories from the horror genre. They vary in length and complexity. Each one entertained me well and gave me a sense of something beyond the bizarre. Two of the six stories in total were an absolute highlight for me: The Stranger and The Dreamcatcher made me wish they were a full novel straight away, that's how much they were able to captivate me and make me want more details. Nevertheless, they are just right the way they are structured in this book and show the strengths of the author's writing style. The chapters are accompanied by fantastic pictures that the author has drawn herself, which increases the goosebump factor even more, especially in The Dreamcatcher. The language is vivid and the queasy feeling is omnipresent when reading. The stories simply know how to entertain. **** Recommendation? **** Do you want to be creeped out and at the same time empathize a little and question the moral of the story? Enjoy the beautiful drawings and the world of horror, I can only recommend it.
