    Dance in the Darkness with me

    A dark fantasy novel that I could not put down. The magic in this world comes at a high cost and is outstanding. You should definitely meet the strong female character Ezer, the Ravenminder of Rendegard, who has a magical connection to her ravens. She soon finds herself at the Citadel - near the ever rageing war - where she meets the two princes Arawn and Kinlear Laroux. One will ignite her, the other one will break her heart. And then there‘s Six, a raphon (half Raven, half panther) who has to be tamed. There are also two POV of Kinlear and Arawn out, now! But you have to read „Raven Minder“, first.

    Can you learn to fly when you are afraid of hights?

    Can you learn to fly when you are afraid of hights? Can you bond with a Raphon (raven-panther-hybrid-being) when you dislike cats? This story had me hooked from the beginning with all it's mysteries around who to trust and who/what is worth fighting for when the ultimate goal is freedom versus being upright yet caged by rules. Ezer is forced to trade one prison for another when she is drafted to serve the twinbrother princes, Arawn and Kinlear. She has to protect her secret magic and her heart while exploring the truth about her past, her strange magic and why the gods turn a blind eye on her. Ezer and the princes challenge each other in the fight against the darkness having to learn to trust each other while not giving in to forbidden feelings. The book has some amazing characters - especially strong(willed) females. I love Six, Izill and Zey, amongst others. "There was no company as lovely as a comfortable chair and a good book." I second that quote from Ezer - and I could've read Ravenminder in one session as I couldn't put it down!

    thrilling pageturner for ToG fans

    Ravenminder was the book that found me at the perfect time. Apart from the amazing worldbuilding and picturesque storytelling that felt like watching a movie, this book touched something deep within me. It's not just a fantasy book, it's about overcoming your fears and finding yourself. The female main character was one of the most authentic ones I've ever encountered in a book and I admired her confidence more than once. She was just so unapologetically herself (fierce and impulsive while also brave and empathic). War wasn't romantacized at all but there were still quite a few funny scenes that added a touch of lightheartedness. The deep relationships the characters were forming went beyond the surface, which was really refreshing. They slowly built trust and attraction wasn't just based on looks but personality. The romance part was just a side plot and there was no spice at all. I absolutely loved the witty banter! Overall, Ravenminder was a thrilling pageturner with surprising plot twists and an adorable sidekick. I am pretty sure that the SJM fandom will love it!
