Astrid One day I'm Royal Elite School's small fly, the next I'm hunted and left to die. He doesn't only shred my life to parts, but he's also coming after my heart. He thinks he broke me, but the new princess will bring the king to his knees. (blurb) This is book 0 of the royal elite series and should be read before deviant king, in order to get the backstory to Levi and Astrid. This book can be read as a standalone but makes more sense when reading the series afterward. I loved the chemistry between Astrid and Levi a lot, especially their banter. I'm still not a fan of the bully trope, tho. Not only that, but I also mentioned that this series is a dark romance series, which I guess it not actually dark romance but rather just a bully romance with a few triggering contents. I loved Astrid as a character. I also did really like Levi, besides the incident between Astrid step-sister and him.

On BookTok, you hear a lot about the RinaVerse—if you’re looking to dive into this universe, this is the book you should start with: Cruel King, part of the Royal Elite Series, is more of a standalone, but it gives insight into Astrid and Levi’s backstory, and we meet other important characters as well. I definitely recommend reading this first. It's a really good book, so you definitely don’t want to miss out on it! I started with it, and it was a lot of fun to read. We have Astrid and Levi, our main protagonists. Astrid is the daughter of the rival of Levi’s uncle, so she's technically off limits for him. But after Astrid and Levi run into each other at a party, he becomes obsessed with her and can't get her out of his head. I really loved the forbidden chemistry between them. We also have a little bully trope here, but it's really well written and turns into so much more. Especially because Astrid isn't a girl to mess with. She's a strong FMC and I love her so much! Vorab muss ich sagen, dass ich dieses Buch auf Deutsch gelesen haben ( Ich mache ungern Werbung für die Konkurrenz aber gibt es bei Amazon, hahha). Jetzt zum Buch: ICH BIN VERLIEBT. Ich bete, dass die Royale Elite Reihe direkt mit übersetzt wird ( bitte bitte bitte?), denn ich bin jetzt schon süchtig danach ! Ich habe dieses Buch verschlungen und einfach alles daran geliebt. Gerade weil Astrid und Levi die Eltern von Landon, Brandon und Glyndon sind( ahhhh) habe ich nochmal ANDERS mitfiebern können. Ich Liebe das Buch und das KOMPLETTE Universum einfach sooo sehr. Levi und Astrid haben mich das Buch nur noch mehr lieben lassen und es lässt mich EINFACH nicht los. Rina Kents Bücher sind ein MUSS für alle Dark Romance Leser.
