Alessandra wants nothing more than to woo the king and kill him so she can become queen. She knows what she wants, and she will do anything to get it. If her plan doesn't work, so what? Then she'll try another way. I've read this book dozens of times and don't think I'll ever get tired of it. Allessandra is not only a strong female protagonist, but also a clever one. I love the plot and the way I flew through the story. One of my favorite books ever!

The Shadows Between Us doesn`t have a really deep story or characters. But it`s good! This book is the proof that a good book does not need to have a super deep story to be good. It just needs badass characters and some good plottwists. I don`t know how many times I had to laugh or cry because of it. The story caught me absolutely by surprise and I really loved every second reading this book. Allessandra shows us that even when a plan doesn`t work out the way it was meant to, it still could be working out some other way. You just cannot give up. The writing style of Tricia Levenseller is captivating and fascinating. She knows how to pull the reader into the story. Big recommendation for everyone who wants to read some good romantasy for young readers.
