Portrait

Dr. Long NI holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and is a professor (tenured) at the School of Architecture and Design, Harbin Institute of Technology. He is a project leader of the National Key R&D Program, Outstanding Youth Fund of Heilongjiang Province, high-level talent of Heilongjiang Province, and national registered public equipment engineer (HVAC, power).Dr. Ni focuses on the research of low carbon heating and cooling. He hosted or completed over 80 national key research and development projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, 12th Five Year Plan, 11th Five Year Plan for National Science and Technology Support, and millions-level technical consulting projects. He also hosted technical consultations on the entire process of green heating for large industrial parks such as BMW Brilliance Automotive Production Base and Michelin factory, aiming to achieve the first zero carbon industrial park within the Fortune Global 500 group.

Dr. Peng WANG received the B.E. degrees from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2003, and the M.E. and Ph.D. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2006 and 2010, respectively. He worked as a visiting scholar in Technical Centre of Finland, Espoo, Finland, during 2013-2014. Dr. Wang focuses on the technical research of simulation, optimization, fault diagnosis and reliability serving district heating. He is the Convenor of ISO/TC 341/WG 1 Terminology, expert of ISO/TC 341/AG 1 Coordination, member of SAC/TC 455 Urban heating supply, and member of the Standardization Technical Committee on heating-supply of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and serves as a reviewer of the international journals. He was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Development Centre in China.

Dr. Jiqin LI earned her B.E. degree in Thermal Energy and Power Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 2013, and her Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, USA, in 2019. Since October 2021, she has served as a Doctoral Supervisor and Associate Professor at the Department of Building Thermal Engineering, School of Architecture, Harbin Institute of Technology, China. Prior to this, she was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Connecticut.Dr. Li’s research primarily focuses on building energy efficiency, renewable energy utilization, and indoor environmental quality. Her recent work explores dynamic heat transfer mechanisms in sky radiative cooling, energy conservation using phase change materials, experimental and simulation studies of indoor environments, and theoretical investigations of thermophysical processes.

Dr. Yongxin LIU received his B.E., M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Heating, Gas Supply, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, Heilongjiang, China, in 2005, 2007 and 2011, respectively. Since Mar. 2012, Dr. Liu has been in School of Architecture and Design, Harbin Institute of Technology as a Lecturer, then as an Associate Professor. Dr. Liu focuses on the research of building thermal environment and building equipment. His recent research interests include: green building technology and rating, optimization design and operation regulation of district energy systems, energy conservation and thermal performance analysis of building envelopes, thermal physical environment design and thermal sensation evaluation of ice and snow buildings, etc.
