Portrait

Dr. Sukhvinder Singh Purewal is currently an Assistant Professor at the University Centre for Research & Development (UCRD), Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab, India. Awarded a Major Research Project from the SEED Division, Department of Science and Technology (DST) in 2018, his research interests include solid-state fermentation, extraction of bioactive compounds, antioxidants, and fruit processing. With over 50 research papers published in international journals, Dr. Purewal has received best poster awards at various conferences. In 2023, he was honored with the “Young Scientist Award” by the Association of Microbiologists of India for his contributions to food microbiology.

Dr. Neha Srivastava is a Research Scientist in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology at Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi. She completed her PhD in 2016 from the Department of Molecular and Cellular Engineering at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), India, specializing in bioenergy.

Dr. Srivastava has published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals and holds three patents, along with one technology transfer. Throughout her career, she has received six Young Scientist Awards in recognition of her contributions to the field.

Currently, her research interests encompass biofuels production, microbial bioprocessing, and enzyme technologies.

Dr. Avneet Kaur is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Chandigarh University, India. Her doctoral research focused on two distinct areas: first, the thermophysical and theoretical investigation of binary mixtures of choline-based ionic liquids with hydrogen bond donor solvents, such as water, straight-chain alcohols, and alkane diols, which have potential industrial applications. Second, she explored the fabrication of choline-based ionic liquid-assisted nanostructures for the electrochemical sensing of pollutants, positioning them as innovative solutions for various engineering and industrial processes. In 2023, Dr. Kaur received the Best Poster Award at a national conference. She is also an active life member of the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA).
