    The Song of Achilles

The Song of Achilles is a beautifully written, emotionally powerful retelling of the Trojan War through the eyes of Patroclus. Madeline Miller weaves Greek mythology with a tender, forbidden romance, creating a story that is both epic and deeply intimate. The prose is lyrical, the characters unforgettable, and the tragedy heart-wrenching—an exquisite exploration of love, loyalty, and destiny.

All That's Left in the World

All That's Left in the World is a beautifully emotional novel that explores survival in a post-apocalyptic world, but at its heart, it’s really about connection and resilience. The story follows Jamie and Andrew, two young guys who find each other after a devastating pandemic wipes out most of the population. As they navigate this broken world, their bond deepens, and it’s the emotional growth of their relationship that truly stands out. Brown’s writing makes the characters feel incredibly real and relatable. The struggles they face aren’t just about physical survival; they’re about dealing with grief, trust, and finding hope when it feels like there’s none left. The tender moments between Jamie and Andrew are powerful and serve as a reminder of how important human connection is, especially in the hardest of times. This book is a moving exploration of love, friendship, and what it means to fight for something worth living for. If you’re looking for a story that’s both heartbreaking and hopeful and are a fan of queer literature, All That's Left in the World is definitely the one to check out.

    Sunrise on the Reaping

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping takes us deep into the dark world of the 50th Hunger Games, focusing on a young Hamitch. I’ve always been fascinated by Hamitch as a character, and this prequel does an amazing job of showing his journey from being a victor to becoming the jaded, cynical mentor we all know and love in the original series. The 50th Hunger Games were a turning point, and the book really brings that home. Trying to end the Games seems to have been always deeply rooted in the charachters we already know from the original series. This book intense, heartbreaking, and shows just how much the Games change a person. The way Hamitch grapples with the trauma of his victory, the political manipulation, and the weight of the Capitol’s cruelty gave me a new level of respect for him as a character. I've always loved him and was intrigued by him, but getting the full picture finally, was something I really wanted.

Okay! No more words! This is one of the best sci-fi dances with fantasy, which carries additional philosophic vibes, novel in a long time. Matt Haig ever dissapoints!
