  The Name of the Wind: 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition

  "Der Name des Windes" ("The Name of the Wind") von Patrick Rothfuss ist eines meiner absoluten Lieblingsbücher. Mit seiner Trilogie hat Rothfuss eine wunderbare Fantasywelt erschaffen, die tiefgründig, emotional und komplex ist, und, von der man noch Jahrzehnte später im Bann gehalten wird. Vor 12 Jahren habe ich den ersten Teil gelesen.... und dieses Jahr soll es endlich so weit sein: das langersehnte Finale "The Doors of Stone" kommt am Ende des Jahres (hoffentlich)!

  Can't Spell Treason Without Tea

  'Can't spell treason without tea' makes you feel as if you're sitting by the window on a rainy afternoon, wrapped in a cosy blanket, sipping your favourite cup of tea. It's warm and comforting and lovely. I had an absolute blast reading this book. The two protagonists Reyna and Kianthe are adorably in love, head-strong and can't help but stumble from one adventure into another - totally not on purpose, of course. Rebecca Thorne's writing has definitely caught my attention and I am already waiting for her next book 'A pirate's life for tea' on pins and needles!

  The Frugal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving Medieval England

  "The Frugal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving Medieval England" is one of those books you simply fall in love with before even reading the first page. It's got a protagonist who doesn't quite know what's what - least of all who he is, where he is, what's going on and - Oh my God, is he a ninja?! A ninja who seems to adore giving reviews on trees, of all things? Brandon Sanderson seems to have thought of everthing you'd ever want in a book: a wonderful story, great humor and a strong protagonist. On top of that, you get hilarious and, frankly, stunning illustrations which are only the icing on the cake. I absolutely loved this book from first to last page, and especially Douglas Adams fans will enjoy every second of reading "The Frugal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving Medieval England"!

  Der Joker

  Markus Zusaks "Der Joker" ist ein Buch, dass einem lange im Gedächtnis bleibt. Obwohl ich es als Kind das erste Mal gelesen habe, ist es bis heute eines meiner Lieblingsbücher, denn es hat einfach alles, was man braucht: Liebe(skummer), Abenteuer, einen Hund (der etwas stinkt, aber man liebt ihn trotzdem) und die ein oder andere Lebensweisheit, die man sich vielleicht auch mal zu Herzen nehmen sollte ;) Ein Buch, das zwar als Jugendbuch erschienen ist, aber, meiner Meinung nach, zu jeder Altersgruppe passt!

  The Narrow Road Between Desires

  One of the many unique characters surrounding our protagonist Kvothe, in 'The Name of the Wind' and 'The Wise Man's Fear', is Bast. Bast is somewhat of a mystery in the main story. He's Kvothe's apprentice and friend (probably?) but we don't yet know how the two met and what their story is - only hints and teases (hopefully, all will be revealed in the third and final book 'The Doors of Stone'). Considering all the secrets surrounding this character in particular, it is wonderful to have a brief insight into Bast's story before the release of the Kingkiller Chronicle's finale. Looking forward to it!
