Meine letzte Rezension Heated Rivalry von Rachel Reid

Where do I even start? I love love LOVE the story of Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov! After watching the perfect TV series that is "Heated Rivalry" I wanted to start reading the book series by Rachel Reid. And what can I say? I wasn't disappointed. These rivals falling in love had me giggling, crying and screaming from start to finish and I can't wait to see their future evolve. For me this whole world Rachel Reid and the director of the series, Jacob Tierney, created has a special place in my heart forever and I can't get enough of it! I'm obsessed!

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe

My favourite book of all time! It's a heartwarming queer story with very lovely characters about discovering oneselves and the connection between family members and friends. The writing style is also very beautiful and poetic, which made me want to mark the whole book.

The House in the Cerulean Sea

After I read this book all I wanted was to live with all these wonderful characters at the orphanage and go on adventures with them. The House in the Cerulean Sea feels like home to me and TJ Klune's writing style is so beautiful, it's breathtaking. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Atmosphere

Dieses Buch ist einfach perfekt und Taylor Jenkins Reid hat wieder einmal bewiesen, dass sie zurecht meine Lieblingsautorin ist! Ich habe mich total in die Charaktere verliebt und die Geschichte ist eine emotionale Achterbahnfahrt. Außerdem fand ich es super spannend mehr über die Arbeit der NASA zu lesen. Ein absolutes Must-Read!!!

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

A book about a famous actress and the seven husbands she had throughout her career. But maybe her true love wasn't among her husbands at all. This book is absolutely great and glamorous as it is set in Hollywood in the 50s to 80s. Highly recommend!

Six of Crows Boxed Set

These books are absolutely incredible! Following six outcasts on their adventure to set someone free from the most protected jail in the world, the first book promises a lot of suspense and fun. All of the main characters are truly amazing and I felt like I am friends with them throughout the whole story. I also really enjoyed that the books are both told from multiple point of views which also contributes to the connection between the reader and the characters.

Taylor Jenkins Reid did it again with this fantastic book! The characters are very lovely and their story is truly emotional. Reid's writing style is incredible, which makes reading this book even more perfect. I cannot recommend it enough!

Das Beste sind die Augen

Anfangs hatte ich ein wenig Angst, dass mich dieses Buch zu sehr ekeln könnte, da ich bisher noch nicht so vertraut bin mit dem (Body-)Horrorgenre, aber es hat sich schnell herausgestellt, dass es mir sehr gefällt. Zwar würde ich immernoch eine Warnung aussprechen, dass es nicht für jede Person was ist, weil die Beschreibungen wirklich ziemlich bildlich und blutig sind, aber ich fand es gerade perfekt so. Ich konnte "Das Beste sind die Augen" einfach nicht aus der Hand legen! Rassismus und Sexismus (und die Verbindung der beiden Diskriminierungsformen) in unserer Gesellschaft werden deutlich herausgestellt und der Umgang des "Stiefvaters" mit Jiwon, Jihyun und deren Mutter hat mich unfassbar wütend gemacht. Besonders gefallen hat mir auch, dass Monika Kim verschiedene gruselige Situationen und Beziehungsmuster bei der Protagonistin Jiwon miteinander verwoben hat, die viele FLINTA* in deren Alltag kennen könnten. Jedoch lässt sich Jiwon davon nicht unterkriegen und beginnt immer mehr moralisch fragwürdige Dinge zu tun...and I was so there for it! Female Rage pur!
