The Legends of the Jews Volume 1 is a comprehensive collection of Jewish folklore and mythology compiled by Louis Ginzberg. This book contains a total of 35 chapters, each of which explores a different aspect of Jewish history and tradition. The stories in this book range from the creation of the world to the time of the Babylonian exile, and they cover a wide variety of topics, including the lives of the patriarchs, the Exodus from Egypt, and the reign of King David. The Legends of the Jews Volume 1 is a fascinating read for anyone interested in Jewish history and culture. Ginzberg's writing style is engaging and accessible, and he provides detailed explanations of the stories and their significance. This book is also a valuable resource for scholars and researchers, as it contains extensive footnotes and references to other sources of Jewish folklore and mythology. Overall, The Legends of the Jews Volume 1 is a must-read for anyone interested in Jewish history, culture, and mythology. At this early moment the Torah interfered. She addressed herself to God: ""O Lord of the world! The world is Thine, Thou canst do with it as seemeth good in Thine eyes. But the man Thou art now creating will be few of days and full of trouble and sin. If it be not Thy purpose to have forbearance and patience with him, it were better not to call him into being."" God replied, ""Is it for naught I am called long-suffering and merciful?""This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
