""More Celtic Fairy Tales"" is a collection of traditional folk tales and legends from Celtic cultures, compiled and retold by Joseph Jacobs. The book includes stories from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and the Isle of Man. These tales feature a variety of mythical creatures and supernatural beings, such as fairies, giants, and witches, as well as heroes and heroines who must navigate magical challenges and obstacles. Some of the stories are humorous and lighthearted, while others are dark and mysterious. The book also includes an introduction that provides historical and cultural context for the tales, as well as notes on the sources and variations of each story. Overall, ""More Celtic Fairy Tales"" offers a fascinating glimpse into the rich storytelling traditions of the Celtic peoples. The woman was not long a widow when she married a second time, and had two daughters. These two daughters hated their half-sister, thought she was not so wise as another, and nicknamed her Smallhead. When the elder of the two sisters was fourteen years old their father died. The mother was in great grief then, and began to pine away. She used to sit at home in the corner and never left the house. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
