Eneide (1882) is a book written by Heinrich Von Veldeke, a medieval German poet. The book is a retelling of the epic story of Aeneas, a Trojan hero who escapes the fall of Troy and journeys to Italy to found the city of Rome. The story is based on the ancient Roman epic poem, the Aeneid, written by the poet Virgil. Veldeke's version of the story is written in Middle High German and is considered to be one of the earliest and most important works of German literature. The book is divided into twelve books, each of which tells a different part of the story. It is a complex and richly detailed work that explores themes of love, war, and destiny. The book has been translated into several languages and is considered a masterpiece of medieval literature. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
