The Poets of Yorkshire is a book written by William Cartwright Newsam and published in 1845. It is a collection of biographical sketches and literary works of various poets from Yorkshire, a historic county in northern England. The book showcases the lives and works of these ""children of song"" who have contributed to the rich cultural heritage of the region. The poets featured in the book include well-known figures such as William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and John Keats, as well as lesser-known but equally talented writers. The book provides a comprehensive overview of the literary scene in Yorkshire during the 19th century, and is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of English literature.Who Have Been Natives Of, Or Otherwise Connected With The County Of York. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
