The Posthumous Works of Junius is a book that was published in 1829. It is a collection of writings by the mysterious political writer Junius, whose identity has never been definitively established. The book includes a variety of Junius's works, including letters, essays, and speeches. The book also includes an inquiry into the identity of Junius, which has been a subject of much speculation over the years. The author of the inquiry attempts to shed light on the mystery of Junius's identity, examining various theories and providing evidence to support or refute them.In addition to the works of Junius and the inquiry into his identity, the book also includes a sketch of the life of John Horne Tooke, a prominent political figure of the time. The sketch provides a brief overview of Tooke's life and career, including his involvement in various political movements and his role in the controversy surrounding Junius's identity.Overall, The Posthumous Works of Junius is a fascinating and informative book that provides insight into the political and social climate of the time, as well as the enduring mystery of Junius's identity. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
