The book provides a detailed account of the infamous Johnstown Flood that occurred on May 31, 1889, in Pennsylvania, USA. The book is divided into several chapters that cover the events leading up to the flood, the disaster itself, and its aftermath. Johnson provides a thorough analysis of the causes and effects of the flood, including the engineering and construction of the dam, the warnings that were ignored, and the rescue and recovery efforts that followed. The book also includes firsthand accounts from survivors and eyewitnesses, as well as photographs and illustrations that help to bring the tragedy to life.""History of the Johnstown Flood"" is an important historical document that sheds light on one of the deadliest natural disasters in American history.
