A Series of Unfortunate Events 07. The Vile Village Series of Unfortunate Events v.7

The seventh adventure of the Baudelaire orphans takes them to V.F.D. which stands for The Village of Fowl Devotees. Here, Violet, Klaus and Sunny should be raised by the entirety of the villagers, who follow a ridiculous number of rules that should under no circumstances be broken. However, while trying to find out more about the missing Quagmire triplets, the Baudelaire children do get into trouble and disobey the rules of V.F.D. Of course, we have count Olaf who is again, disguised as someone else so that only the children recognize him at once. For this book, the story unfolded quite slowly in the beginning but got more fast-paced towards the end. I enjoyed the seventh book in this series as much as the previous ones. Surely, it is a children´s book which is repeatedly shown in the language, where words that are a bit more difficult are explained to the reader. However, I do enjoy these little segments and see them as a trademark to this series.
