"We Beheld His Glory" depicts the Gospel of John in 100 original poems. Each poem summarizes a section of the Gospel and gives the reader an interpretative understanding of the scripture in flowing poetic verse. The poetry transports the reader to a new level of understanding the heart and essence of John's Gospel while providing practical application for everyday life. Mike O'Brien's "The Gospel of John in Poetry" offers an original and creative approach to seeing John's gospel with new eyes. Each of the poems summarizes the essence of the text and concludes with a relevant life application. You will find this devotional resource to be encouraging and edifying. Dr. Ken Boa President Reflections Ministries Mike's synopsis of the message of John's gospel is refreshing to read and fun to compare with the actual scriptural accounts. I believe that Mike's background knowledge of the gospel of John and John gives him deep insight into the lessons. The application of the lessons and the scope of the context will make this a valuable tool for preachers and teachers as well as a bedside favorite for kids. Dr. Dale M. Sides President Liberating Ministries for Christ International Bedford, VA The author came to know Jesus Christ in 1972 and since then has continued in biblical studies and ministry in various churches, home churches and men's Bible studies.
