A Bloody Masterpiece
I went in without knowing a lot about the book and came out understanding why it is considered a classic. From todays viewpoint the book might not be considered a horror story because there is not much splatter but it beautifully creates a thrilling suspense that enchants you, fully drawing you in. Even though it is a fantastical tale that does not take place in the current times there is a realness to the characters that creates an enticing juxtaposition to the vampire of it all and allows for the horror to be a creeping, underlying threat. I absolutely enjoyed reading this classic of english literature! -

This fear inducing classic vampire story is a must-read for spooky season, which is finally here! Count Dracula is such a cool and thrilling character. I also like the characters of the vampire hunting group! Overall such a pleasant read.
