Humans ARE kind
When I picked up Rutger Bregman's book, I wasn't convinced that humans are fundamentally kind. Too many things happened in our current society that made me doubt. But the more I read, the more I asked myself if it could be true after all that we ARE a kind species, that a kinder world is indeed possible. The book was written before the 2020 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, and I would like to know if Bregman would still be of the same opinion today. But I think, despite it all, he would. I did not agree with all of his opinions at first, but his examples are backed up by scientific studies and well done research, making me see things in a different light. The book is no light reading, but definitely worth it. (The audiobook, too!)
