The Contemporary Christ: A Preaching Mission In Action is a book written by Arthur James Gammack and originally published in 1917. The book is a collection of sermons and lectures that Gammack delivered during his time as a preacher and missionary in the early 20th century. Gammack's central message is that the teachings of Jesus Christ are still relevant and applicable to modern society, and that Christianity has a vital role to play in shaping the moral and ethical values of the world. He argues that the message of Christ is not limited to a particular time or place, but is universal and timeless. The book is divided into several chapters, each of which explores a different aspect of Christian theology and practice. Gammack covers topics such as the nature of God, the role of faith in salvation, the importance of prayer, and the need for social justice and compassion.Throughout the book, Gammack draws on his own experiences as a preacher and missionary, and provides numerous examples of how the teachings of Christ have impacted the lives of individuals and communities. His writing is clear and accessible, making the book suitable for readers of all backgrounds and levels of familiarity with Christian theology.Overall, The Contemporary Christ: A Preaching Mission In Action is a thought-provoking and inspiring work that offers a fresh perspective on the relevance of Christianity in the modern world. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
