A heart for Jinshi <3
After watching the anime, there was no other choice than reading the manga of this masterpiece. Yea, what should i say, i also needed the light novel and here i am, waiting for the next volume! This series is simply great. Mystery, slow burn romance (and i mean slow, for real), medicin, imperial intrigues and historical stories, all in one series. With Maomao, there is a strong female main character and then there is also Jinshi, a guy which makes her life not easy. It is just comedy how he teases her and i am looking forward to reading the next book! -

Maomao for emperor!
I love this entire series so much! I started out watching the anime and was so hooked I just had to start reading the light novels because I couldn't wait to find out what happens next. Maomao is one of the best protagonists ever; the way she so easily wraps everybody around her finger without even realizing it is hilarious, and the plot constantly keeps you on the edge of your seat. I also really love how seemingly small and insignificant details often come back later and suddenly change everything. I'm only on volume 6 right now so I'm very excited what the rest of the story has in store for us! -

Jinshi the not man you are
I LOVE IT! It's giving mystery, it's giving k-drama like pining, it's giving dense feministic ICON. And it has me on a chokehold. Binge reading through this whole series and living for every moment of it -

If you can't wait for the next...
If you can't wait for the next season, there are enough Light Novels! They are easy and good written and I'm just happy that I can read more about Maomao and Jinshi!
