With the last remnant of good dragon riders destroyed, the fate of the world lies in the hands of two young ill-fated heroes, Grey Cloak and Dyphestive, and their misfit comrades in arms: a band of rogues, wizards and warriors called Talon. Devastation has rocked the land abroad. Kingdoms are overrun by the Black Guard invasion and the growing army of evil dragon riders ruling from the skies. By flame and force, all cities great and small are put under the dominion of the indomitable dragon Black Frost, who gains control from an unknown source of power. With nefarious enemy forces coming from all directions, the heroes scrape and claw their way from city to city, land to land, and dungeon to dungeon in search of the ultimate weapon that will knock Black Frost from his perch once and for all. Only one problem lies between them and victory ... the impossible. ¿¿¿¿¿ "Craig Halloran's "Dragon Wars" series, a sword and sorcery epic targeted towards the Young Adult ("YA") market, is well worth reading for many reasons, and this is one: no matter how bad things get, we should not give up on our friends. Grey Cloak is "the man with a plan," even when the plan is just "try harder." Dyphestive is his true blood brother who doesn't even seem to understand what "give up" means. Together, in this and the remaining volumes, they may just find a way." John Tobler, Amazon Reviewer This is the 2nd boxset of the 1-million-word long Dragon Wars fantasy saga which includes several professionally drawn character artwork images. If you enjoy epic fantasy filled with the gamut of elves, dwarves, halflings, orcs, mages, thieves, warriors, and dragon riders, then you will devour the mysterious and brazen adventures of Grey Cloak and Dyphestive. Publisher note: This series is appropriate for awesome dragon riders of all ages.
