13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl From the author of TikTok phenomenon BUNNY

I'm not sure which target audience Mona Awad had in mind when writing this. As a big person myself I am simultaneosly outraged about the depiction of Lizzie but I also felt very understood by this writing. I have mixed feelings about the characteristics of the protagonist, as she is depicted in a very stereotypical way. I think the second half of the book was quite interesting as it showed Lizzie after having lost weight and that her struggles never really vanished by being skinnier. I think this book is very multilayered and interesting, but I could not really recommend this with a good conscience. TW: fatphobia, body dysmorphia
